To the great shame of my ancestors, it’s become clear that I CAN’T perform an effective curse, as the POS won, went full-term, AND still slithers among us. But I will be lighting a candle and praying to God, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Lilith, Mother Nature, the old Oprah, Joan Jett, Kali, Gaia, Dolly Parton, Wonder Woman, Lorena Bobbit, Athena, Louhi, Anat, Parvati, and the souls of every woman Wronged, that you receive the victory and justice you deserve. Thank you for your warrior courage and your Goddess resolve.

Back in the late 80's and early 90's I volunteered at a rape crisis center in a mostly rural county in the South that also has a large university. It started when I was at a lecture put on by the center to raise awareness of sexual assault on campus and they mentioned at the end a need for more volunteers. At the time I was looking for a way to actively support women beyond taking my German Shepard pooch to local Take Back The Night marches and it suddenly clicked - I decided to volunteer.

Excellent, rigorous training (thanks Mary Ann) exposed us to all of the town's services from the ER to the DA. I helped male victims of sexual assault and I became the regular on-call volunteer for the ER at night to assist family members and friends of a person being evaluated. I lectured at fraternities, health classes, religious groups in town - basically anywhere we could get an audience.

I say all of this, first in whole-hearted support of you, E. Jean, and secondly to open the ears of my fellow men: Wake Up! Sexual assault will never go away unless a significant number of us actively engage in this fight. As the only male volunteer I added value; as you might imagine, my conversations in the fraternities as a man were very different than the conversations female volunteers were having. Talks that take place at that level, guy to guy, are substantive and hopefully contribute to a shift in awareness - and behavior.

Men, we can make a huge difference supporting women like E. Jean and other survivors of sexual assault. Our voices and our presence are needed to rid our society of illegal-immoral-sleaze-ball behavior like the former White House madman thrives on.

And, for sure, the DOJ certainly needs to have quite a few talks on this subject. Sign me up for that!

I’m so damn tired of mediocre men getting propped up by this fucking system. And Donny barely skims over the bar of mediocre. He’s just a parasite. I hope you and your lawyers wipe the floor with his ass.

Sorry to be crass, but the whole thing makes me too weary to be wry and effervescently funny. You always manage that, E Jean, and I salute you for it.

American citizens should not be paying to defend a rapist and a corrupt traitor. Case closed.

God, you’re a scion of epic and legendary proportions, E. Jean. It gives me chills. It stings my eyes. If you held aloft a scabbard in one hand and a bloody sword in the other, you’d seem no more fierce and beyond-time than you already do. If he isn’t quailing by now, he sure oughtta be. And the DOJ better not get in the way, either. Like Shel just said, not with OUR tax dollars, no sir. Get. That. Bastard. Get him.

I suggest we change just a word and declare the case closed: It was the President of the United States, Doody, who slandered a woman who accused him of rape. The end.

As a makeup entrepreneur .. first of all there is NOTHING they can do to make what they are doing look, let alone be okay. However, if they want to try they'll need some heavy silicone based makeup, created with petrochemicals, pfas, phthalates etc ( all banned in Europe) but pushed thru by men (mostly) that sit on FDA boards.. lawyers that go to court to defend talc, - that go to court to defend rapists - they all need makeup defended by the greedy, makeup that fills their pores with silicone and leaves that teflon like finish that ethics have a way of sliding off of ... makeup that poisons women - it's all such a shit show ... but in the midst of it all you are standing up and shining a light - may your light be forever bright!

Since the court date was announced, I have had your trial marked on my calendar. I am so tired of the war on women and in many ways, that's what your case represents to me. I subscribed to your sub-stack E. Jean because you inspire others to be yourself and walk with your head up. (Myself included.) You see and hear those who have entered your world and provide us with a wonderful community. But I have no doubt this is horrible to recount and on top of that, you have to deal with those who will and are using this to promote their own agendas. Through it all, you've stood firm—with integrity and honesty despite the rape you experienced. How the DOJ can defend Trump's actions is beyond the pale. I will be cheering you and your lawyers on from the side lines and hope you bring the sucker down for all the women he has assaulted throughout the years not to mention our country in general. I'm not exactly the praying type, but I will pray my heart out for you and all those who aren't able to defend themselves. Sending you good juju.

My advice to the DOJ lawyers: re-evaluate your life choices. That taxpayer money is being used to defend this alleged human is outrageous, to say the very least.

Ms. E—you are so brave. And big-hearted. And all-around badass. Thank you for taking these women with you as you battle this demon from hell. Rooting for you with all my heart and all my rage. Go get him!!!

EJ, you powerful icon.

You are an inspiring, brilliant, forthright, tough as nails, smart as hell, powerful, icon.

I think I speak the truth when I say you have an army of women with their hearts tied to yours as you recount and relive that horrible trauma. Unfathomably hard. Impossibly hard. And yet, here you are, life in hand, showing up for us all.

Hot damn, this is so crazy! You know your conflab stands with you - thank you for being an agent of change, a voice for the voiceless, and just an all-around singular badass. In my mind, there's nobody better to take on the courts than you. We're watching. We're cheering. Thanks for giving us hope, E. Jean, thanks for everything.

Dear E. Jean, I am so proud of you and you make me proud to be a woman. I hate that you have to endure yet another court date when this should have been ended long ago with the salt-petering of that wack-job’s entire miasma. I hate that the wack-job uses legal loopholes. (Note to DOJ: Where is the fooking ERA?!) In the Court of Truth, you are a Shining Entity. Keep shining, woman. There are so many of us holding you up as you have held us during these years of outrageous defilements. Stand proud, E. Jean. Love, hugs, and courage.

I'm guessing they didn't think it would be a fair fight unless they pitted E. Jean Carroll and Roberta Kaplan against the ENTIRE D.O.J.? Y'know, just to even things up a bit?

I suppose we could be grateful that at least this isn't being heard in a certain Wisconsin court.
