The terrifyingly brilliant New Yorker writer, Daphne Merkin, has just published an essay about the glorious heyday of women’s magazines, and the thing is so delicious, so hilarious, so fabulous, I was drinking it down like mother’s milk, when I ran into this quote from her agent.
“When they call you brave, they really mean you’re crazy.”
