I hope the documentary gets a streaming platform so those of us in flyover country can get comfy and inspired. I read the article all the way through yesterday. Given today’s news that the abusive orange 🍊 has immunized himself from taxes, your suit is one of our last hopes for consequences for him. We know you will stay strong. In E. Jean we trust!
I find it frustrating that this documentary and “Women Laughing “ are not )yet?) being distributed widely across the USA. I live in Tempe; ASU has an excellent journalism school, and many members of the public as well as high school and college students participate in programs there. It would be terrific if the entire US could have the opportunity to view these films and discuss them while they are so timely. FWIW Trump realized the importance of reaching out to constituents and consumers in flyover country- he held his first rally here in Phoenix, a disgraceful and dismal event- but it worked to kick start MAGA.
Please think of how much the whole country needs to be reminded of the work of women in politics, journalism, and cartooning - before the Tradwives dress everyone in gingham and subordination.
So happy for you, but after reading the article in the NYTimes, I am pretty darn furious that your legal settlement is endangered by Trump's minions and their obedient corruption as they abase themselves before the worst president in American history.
E. Jean and Robbie need to go after him again because he said a few weeks ago on 60 Minutes, “I never r*ped anybody” which has proven by previously mentioned wonder team to be a lie…defamation. He doesn’t learn, does he?
While it's one of my absolute least favorite Dan Foglberg songs ("...but his blood runs through my instrument..." - gross!), I LOVE that you wrote "leader of the banned"!!!🤣
Saw the article this morning! I hope I can see it soon, hopefully streaming somewhere. To H$$& with the people who are too scared of the orange buffoon to distribute it.
I'm going to take all my friends and then make a whole country of all new friends to take again. I can't wait to see this. Congratulations to the most gifted writer, most generous colleague, most gorgeous old lady ever to sit for a photo on the forest floor. x
My first thought, as the slush fund with the tax addendum (🤕) was being revealed yesterday, was E. Jean! They better not mess with E. Jean! They always spout their "Red Line" stuff. Well, E. Jean is my red line.
I hereby nominate E. Jean Carroll and Ivy Meerpol for a Pulitzer. I am HORRIFIED that Trump has such outsized influence on a culture—ours— in which the right to free speech is not simply there but first—FIRST!! #1!!! Primo!!!— among all the amendments to our flawed but remarkable Constitution. My heart swells when I recognize, with Meerpol, that it is women—WOMEN, who had to wait till 1920, 18 whole amendments after that precious First —who have repeatedly stood up to national injustices. So here we go again, friends: to the barricades! Not just for heroic E. Jean and Ivy Meerpol but for our daughters, granddaughters, and ourselves. And P.S. Who else but E. Jean could appear convincingly in a woodland portrait, lounging with bows on her sneakers and blowing bubbles, while fighting for our right not to be sexually abused by powerful men or silenced afterwards?
It is great to have something to look forward to with boundless enthusiasm! There are soooo many documentaries out there, but a truly insightful one stands out. Have the best time at the premiere!
Fabulous. For once, I wish I still lived in NYC and could bop down to the IFC. Who knows when this doc will be shown in the quiet Midwestern hinterlands where I now reside. But E. Jean, you have more guts than the entire Republican Party, most of the Democrats, and too many citizens. If everyone were as ballsy as you, the orange beachball would be wearing an orange jumpsuit.

Yes please to streaming!
I can’t wait to see this! Mandatory viewing for everyone!!
Is the Meidas Touch, other indie platforms with lotsa subscribers open to streaming this?
You took the words out of my mouth.
By the way, peep Trump's lawyer Justin D. Smith in Trump v. Carroll, asked by Senator Dick Durbin, "Why did you submit false information to the Supreme Court?" on 4/22/26, at https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/46388b50-a25c-78f2-0fce-7f10fbc4830c/2026-04-15_QFR-Responses_Smith.pdf , p. 2 (but read p. 1, also about E. Jean). I'm not saying all Smith's answers are correct...

Yes!!! I hope there are folks lined up for miles!!
I have my ticket already, for Los Angeles. Many seats were sold out, I was lucky to get a seat at all.

I hope you and Robbie Kaplan sue him again.

Yeah, I've been wondering about that... And see https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-asks-appeals-court-pause-ruling-e-jean-carroll-case-rcna343948 , where Trump's spox, a couple weeks ago, refers to "Carroll Hoaxes", etc. Ugh.
😱UGH, indeed!
💪🏽
I hope the film makes a showing in the South. This story is definitely a chink in Trump's Teflon armor. You made truth stick to him.
Mazel Tov to the leader of the ‘banned’!!!!! Xoxoxo
I cannot love this more!
LOL…thanks, Kathy!

I love these new photos of you, E. Jean! ... I hope the documentary is spread FAR and W-I-D-E.
PS Please sue this asshole AGAIN.
can't WAIT to see it.

You look fabulous in your country stream setting. Can’t wait to see the documentary!
