My Mother Is Driving Us Nuts!

The Pep Squad of Brilliance Knitting Circle is whooping it up again!

At our last gathering, Ms. J, who does not knit, but just sits around like Agatha Christie writing best seller after best seller and who says she may “repair an antique hooked-rug every now and again,” (although I swear she was darning her husband’s underpants at the last Pep Squad) told us about Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant and watching them star in the HBO series made from her novel. Ms. J was so funny and the details about Nicole were so delicious, that I lost my place, knit in chartreuse when I should have purled in a crimson, and now my foot-and-a-half long scarf looks even better, which just goes to show that life, as I always say, is too short to knit without friends.
