Dear E. Jean:

I'm a nice person, kind, considerate, and thoughtful---I swear. But I also have an evil streak. I’m jealous of my friends. I love them and I want them to do well and prosper—just not too much. We all seem to be at an age (around twenty-seven) when the big jobs and the big marriage proposals are flooding in; however, they're mostly flooding toward them. One of my friends is now making over $155,000 a year!
