E. Jean, I was in the city today. Seeing PROOF on Broadway - so good, highly recommend, the cast is destroyed by the end and the audience is too - and SO MANY JERSEYS. Not just Knicks. Also Brazil and Morocco jerseys. Absolute chaos, and people pre-gaming for the Puerto Rican Parade tomorrow. It was just nuts.
Was thinking about that picnic on the Staten Island Ferry as I rode it home. I got dinner at Fraunces Tavern as an escape. There was a lovely couple seated next to me who'd been to a Jazz Age party - the flapper looked AMAZING. And her squire had a linen suit on.

Well, the Knicks have taught us a profound spiritual lesson: NEVER GIVE UP! Did anyone else watch Game 4? I recorded it, and saw it the next morning, being careful not to turn on any other channel (to avoid hearing the final score), and I watched until the end. (Muttering in my mind...why don't they hve any really tall players...maybe they just aren't that good...they start losing at the beginning...) That finale was beyond a comeback! Jalen Brunson took responsibility for everything--he's so agile and fast...but how lovely that Anonuby came through, also so fast and agile.
