DEAR E. JEAN:
I now truly believe all men are pigs. ALL THEY WANT IS SEX! I'm pretty, but not to die for, so it can't be that every guy is head over heels in lust with me. But it seems like every man I date simply can't wait to have sex.
I'm talking about going on a first date to a restaurant and the guy pushes for sex. Can it be me? Do I unknowingly seek these kinds of guys out? I've tried taking relationships both ways. I've gotten sexually involved early, and I've waited to the point of no sex. Neither works for me.
I'm afraid to say no, because I don't want to lose a potential mate, and I'm afraid to say yes for obvious reasons. So just tell me:
Is it me? Or the guys I meet?
I find it disheartening! I like sex too, but I want what's more important: a kind, decent human being. E. Jean, this last guy I met, after three dates, I slept with him. He hasn't called me since. It's been over a week. I must admit I was rather unenthusiastic with him, cold and callous. But how am I to feel? I was afraid that after I had sex with him, we'd never talk again. Well, I hit the nail right on the head.
How am I to enter a relationship with open arms? I'm becoming so guarded, it's a wonder I have any relationships at all. Sorry to go on and on. I'm quite upset; but do you have any advice?—Miss Callous
